Dell Computer Continues It’s Spin Down The Toilet Bowl

December 31, 2008

The news today is that Michael Dell is doing an executive shake up and replacing several people that he brought on to save the company in 2007. HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Michael Dell’s great plan that he has been feverishly working towards over the past few years is to basically get Dell out of the manufacturing business. He has replaced a significant (by some estimates, a majority) of American engineers with cheap foreign H1B engineers (because, you know, there’s no American engineers that will do the job for what he wants to pay). What this has done is KILLED Dell’s ability to effectively control design and quality.

The main aspect of his plan has been to buy ‘white boxes’ (pre-made computers from cheap chinese manufacturers) and slap a Dell name onit (meaning: leave the engineer, quality control and what not to the chinese). So far, it’s worked spectacularly! The pre-made computers he has been getting have been cheap but, the downside is that they also break.

Dell’s hands off approach has decimated their quality and the tech world knows it. Now, Joe & Jane Bloe are realizing it to.

Michael Dell, in his greed to shaft American workers (engineers & assemblers) has backfired royally as Dell’s quality and reputation go down the toilet. I say GOOD RIDDANCE!

TO: Michael Dell & the board of directors-

You fucking idiot(s). You haven’t realized that the chinese could care less about quality because you’ll keep buying from them because they are cheap. They are on the other side of the world and don’t care about anyone except for themselves.

I hope Dell goes down the toilet and you have invested all your monies with Madoff!

Odessa Cops Get Busted! BRAVO!

December 11, 2008

Corrupt officials are one of the most dangerous things in the world. It makes me happy to see them get caught and even more happy to see them punished!

“KopBusters rented a house in Odessa, Texas and began growing two small Christmas trees under a grow light similar to those used for growing marijuana. When faced with a suspected marijuana grow, the police usually use illegal FLIR cameras and/or lie on the search warrant affidavit claiming they have probable cause to raid the house. Instead of conducting a proper investigation which usually leads to no probable cause, the Kops lie on the affidavit claiming a confidential informant saw the plants and/or the police could smell marijuana coming from the suspected house.

The trap was set and less than 24 hours later, the Odessa narcotics unit raided the house only to find KopBuster’s attorney waiting under a system of complex gadgetry and spy cameras that streamed online to the KopBuster’s secret mobile office nearby.”

Reason Online has a good write-up.

If They Had Only Made The Cars People Wanted…

December 9, 2008

Oh, look, the fuel-efficient, low emissions electric car companies are in trouble also and are looking for a bail-out. Well, they wouldn’t be in this mess if only they had made the type of cars people wanted, you know, small, fuel-efficient, green… oh wait.

Lies Of The Auto Industry

December 9, 2008

I’m tired of the lies… The lies of the media and scum-bag politicians and the general American idiot. I’m tired of hearing how GM, Ford and Chrysler put themselves in this mess and are solely to blame. The truth of the matter is that it’s mostly BS.

The Big Lie: “If they had made cars people wanted, they would be okay now.”

1) ALL car companies are hurting! China and India’s government are propping up their car manufacturers right now. Fiat is desperately looking to merge to survive. European manufacturers are shedding workers, idiling and closing factories to survive. Even the japanese, who have been making the ‘right cars‘ all along are hurting! They have unsold cars piling up and they are scared. I haven’t heard but, I’m sure there’s been negotiations all over the world for government assistance.

2) American auto makers have made the ‘right cars’ since their inception. There has not been a time in American history where Americans could not buy a fuel efficient car! Heck, American Motors made it their niche making small fuel efficient cars and where did it land them? Even as AMC floundered, you could buy compact Corvairs, Falcons and Darts. In the gas guzzling 70’s, you could sip gas with Vegas, Pintos and Colts. In the 80s & 90s, Chevettes, Escorts and many more fuel efficient models were freely available to Americans. NEVER has American car makers FORCED the public to buy large fuel inefficient cars. The problem is that Americans (and the rest of the world) prefer large vehicles. Might I point out that even the ‘right car’ makers are in desperate times now.

Lie #2: If American executives weren’t so greedy, the company would have more money.

Granted, I believe that people in business now care more about lining their nests and pillaging what they can get than what is best for the company or it’s customers, the real problem is that it’s ALL EMPLOYEES! Monopolies are bad. ALL MONOPOLIES! Unions are monopolies! Unions have a monopoly on labor and they unfairly drive up the cost of goods. Unions may have had a place 100years ago when workers were being shot by company thugs but nowadays, when a worker can sue for getting a paper cut on the job, they have no place!

American car companies had unions forced on them by labor laws. They now can not shed the unions due to labor laws. Foreign car companies successfully avoided unions and thus have an unfair advantage.

As far as executive compensation goes, yes, they are far too high in my opinion but, 500,000 artificially inflated union salaries have far more of a bottom line impact than all of the executive perks combined.

Lastly, if you look at the extra costs incurred by government regulations that only affect American manufacturers, you’ll see that the government has done even more damage to US companies. Chinese manufacturers can pollute all they want and then dump their parts in the US due to f’d up US laws.

Lie #3: “Who cares if we lose American car companies, Toyota, Honda, etc. are all made in America.”

Oh the ignorance of this one… American car companies build their cars from mostly American made parts. Yes, a portion of parts are foreign made (e.g in mexico) but, foreign car makers are usually 90% foreign parts. When you buy an ‘American Made Toyota’, you are buying an American ASSEMBLED toyota who’s parts have mostly come from japan and china. DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE MONEY LAUNDERING DONE BY FOREIGN COMPANIES!!!! That’s a topic for another post.

Lie #4: “We should let the car companies die. It won’t affect us”

1) I need to write a post about a service economy vs a manufacturing economy and how the service economy is basically a ponzi scheme but, that’s for a later post. Let me just say that no country ever grew economically on a service economy.

2) The Big Three ARE the war time manufacturers. We can not lose them or we lose our war manufacturing capacity. To all of you kooks out there that think that is a positive thing, fuck you, you’re idiots.

3) The job loss trickle effect will be staggering. We not only kill the car companies, we also kill their American suppliers. We could boot-out the foreign manufacturers and not be nearly as affected (because their parts are mostly foreign made).

I could go on and on about this but, it’s pissing me off too much so I’m going to end this here and maybe add more later.

University of Iowa Federal Gas Tax Study

December 9, 2008

The University of Iowa has been funded by the US Government to conduct a study of a method of taxing drivers based on a system of tracking your driving.  The system uses a GPS, computer and a wireless phone connection and it records where you have driven, when you drove there and how much gas you used.

I know this because I attended one of their meetings.

The scary thing about this is that they are NOT testing if tracking people and taxing them based on their driving was a good system, they are testing whether the system works.

The system connects into your car’s computer to “read only the mileage” but, since it has a GPS, why connect into the car’s computer?

This system has government scam written all over it.

1) If they TRUELY wanted to tax based on road useage, KEEP THE CURRENT GAS TAX SYSTEM! It is the most fair system.

2) If they TRUELY want to only know how many miles you traveled in a taxing district, why connect to the car’s computer and read the mileage, use the GPS.

3) …and why require you to enter the amount of gas you buy if they are going to tax you by your mileage driven?

The real answer is that they are setting up a system to track people and a system to record speeding and other violations.

This system will not work with older cars that do not have a computer nor do I believe that people will truthfully enter the amount of gas put into the car at each fill-up so, I don’t believe that the system will survive in this incarnation.

The government is up to something and we are going to lose more freedoms…..  Keep an eye on this program.
